Value Stream Management
Identifying and optimizing the value stream of your products
and processes is a powerful tool to improve your manufacturing operations. It is
the value add in your products and services that differentiate you from your
competitors.
Customers perception of value is the critical element of
value stream analysis. Steps and processing that are not adding value to your
product as perceived by your customer are waste.
A pervasive and consistent focus on increasing the elements
than provide value add (VA) must be maintained. Eliminating activities that are
non-value add (NVA) to your products provides a roadmap for waste reduction and
process improvement.
The elements of a company that provide value to your
customers are not departmental. It is the combination of several functions, from
order handling through purchasing, production and finished product delivery that
provide the value to your customer and a competitive edge for your products and
services.

desires.
